Notifications & digests

Choose how often Formcrest emails you about new submissions — one email each, a periodic digest, or nothing at all. This is set per form in Settings → Email notifications.

Choosing a notification mode

Open a form, go to Settings → Email notifications, and pick one of four modes:

ModeWhat you receive
Instant (default)One email per submission, sent as it arrives.
Hourly digestA single email each hour aggregating that hour's new submissions.
Daily digestA single email each day aggregating that day's new submissions.
OffNo emails. Submissions are still stored and visible in the dashboard.

How each mode works

Instant

Instant delivery sends one email per submission, so you hear about every new entry the moment it lands. This is the default for new forms and the only mode available on the Free plan.

Hourly and daily digests

A digest is a single email that aggregates all of the new submissions from the period — the last hour, or the last day. Instead of a separate message for every entry, you get one tidy summary. Digests are produced by a scheduled job that runs on each interval; if no new submissions arrived during a period, no digest is sent for it.

Off

Turning notifications off means Formcrest sends no email for this form. Submissions continue to be stored and remain visible in the dashboard, so nothing is lost — you just review them there on your own schedule.

Plan availability

Hourly and daily digests are a Pro+ feature. The Free plan always uses Instant delivery. See Plans & pricing for the full comparison.

Spam and notifications

Submissions flagged as spam never trigger a notification of any kind — no instant email, and they are not included in digests. This keeps your inbox clean even when bots find your form. For how submissions get flagged, see Spam protection.

To control who receives these emails, see Multiple recipients. For other per-form settings, see Configuration.
